Orchid Brooch

Last summer when I was in Istanbul working with my goldsmith, he pulled out something that he had made for me as a gift. It was a beautiful silver orchid sprig set in a small glass vase. Throughout the day I kept glancing at it as it sat between us. By the time we were wrapping up I said- "You know, that would make a beautiful pin...."

The silver orchid now lives on my desk.
